Alien / Creature full body concept 1 update!

After some really good feedback from a friend of mine, I did some changes to the model. I gave more love to the tale and fin also as you can see, he got (I have no idea what it's called) fish skin between his fingers! I have also changed his back legs a bit as they were quite thin earlier.
And last I did some polypainting!
I also want to mention that I got good feedback from my masterclass teacher. However he wanted me to give the polypainting on his legs and arms and feet and fingers the same love as on his head. Also he mentioned that I should go crazy with the back fin!

Alien / Creature full body concept 1

Happy new year everyone!

Finally back from my everlasting long Christmas holiday!
I had a really good time with family and all, however, I do have to mention that it was a relief to get back and start sculpting again! The fingers was itching in other terms!

Anyway, still got couple of classes left with Justin Goby Fields masterclass - Concept for production.
This week and last (before Christmas) we are doing a full alien / creature body and not just the bust / head n' shoulders. So I started yesterday during yesterdays class!

Just a concept atm and wip!
But I thought I'd share it :)

Gun concept 01

First gun concept! In yesterdays Masterclass, we went through the workflow for creating sci fi guns. Here is what I came up with after the class. Do need to mention, that I get some really high Mass Effect wibes from it! But hey, it might just be me!

Alien concept 6_01 - wip

A variation of the alien concept 6. This is a average adult male. More variations will be uploaded as they are getting done! These concepts are for one of the masterclasses I'm attending. (sorry for the mean look, but he haven't had anything to eat yet..)

Variation within Alien concept 6.

Concepting for Production - materclass with Justin Goby Fields!

Doing a masterclass with Justin Goby Fields! Where he teaches us a workflow where you draw some silhouettes  and then mess around with them in Photoshop. After I have finished the 2D concepts, I den start out with a sphere and start to concept in zbrush. I try to create similar 3D concepts in zbrush, however, I didn't use the 2D concept as reference, as much as I should. So I only got the inspired of it.

Model 1 is the first model I modeled, and the second and third are snake hook versions off the first one.

I got really happy with the result, and these are the first concepts of many to come! I have learned much about the process and workflow already, and the class has barely started! :)
