Deckard!

It's been a while since I uploaded anything to the blog. Reason is just that I'm doing some freelance work for a game company which lives me with almost no time for personal stuff. However, today after work, I wanted to see if I could resculpt some of my first heads. Deckard I belive was the second head I did for a short movie named The Doc, which we made during second year.

Here are the result. However, I must mention that I couldn't find the original ztl (zbrush file) only the lowpoly version, so the picture doesn't quite justify how the second sculpt was. What I do find interesting is the fact that I now feel more confident with the anatomy of the head, and that is really great to see!

Mech Police

Wanted to learn couple of new techniques about concept art, where i make a hybrid between 3D sculpt and Photoshop. I sculpted first a mech in Zbrush, and rendered out several passes as used blending mode and draw on top of it, and this is the result I got :)
I wanted to learn more about photoshop and how i can use it in my workflow. I used between 45 and 60 min on the sculpt as I had no idea what to create and as I don't have any experience with mech sculpting.

However, got really satisfied with the result and want to continue this workflow! :)

Zbrush armor Concepting!

So I am trying to work with silhouettes and just concepting with zbrush. This is about an hour work. I have yet to be able to create better silhouettes and in shorter time, but that time will come! I used dDo for texturing, which I have to say is really awesome! can't wait till I really know how to use it. Still quite noob when it comes to how it works. I used zbrush for the concepting, photoshop to texture and marmoset for render.

Demon Speedsculpt

Made a quick sculpt before bed! Thought it turned out a bit funny!
I tried out the light settings with the panorama picture in the background and created a lightmap from that. Though, this is just standard settings, still think it turned out quite alright.
